| Description: | DARE — Decision Aid for Risk Evaluation — is a software tool providing risk assessment for the Maritime Mine Countermeasures (MCM) Task Group Commander after MCM Operations have taken place. This document describes the DARE 2.1 algorithms, including the distribution of mines remaining in the scenario and the calculation of all DARE Measures of Effectiveness, such as the risk to the first and subsequent transitors and the expected number of mines remaining. DARE was specifically developed to handle MCM scenarios with multiple mine types, multiple route segments and areas, and multiple routes.
